PENFED (any chance)

I’ve read lots of goodies in this forum abt Penfed esp. gas rebates, low apr, etc but jst afraid to try with them. I got bk in 07 disch. & have slowly rebuilt my cs now @ 660/ 690 both FICO, any advice would be appreciated. Thnks.

Credit Profile as of 1 March 2010

Hey all, Just got approved for a Chase Freedom this morning! 1k CL. Got the 30 day message when I apped online. CSR toldme I had been denied when I called in using the backdoor number. I asked her for a recon, she put me on hold for about 2 mins and came back with the YES for 1k!!!. I also got approved for 2k CL Discover More card last week. I think I am pretty set on CC’s for now so long as these cards give steady CLI every 6 months or so. I also canceled my Orchard card this week. I just refuse to pay $40 a year for a measly $400 CLI with a perferct track record with them. But it did it’s job and it was time to bury it. But here is my credit breakdown:   Military Star: CL: 6600 Bal: 0 AF:0 Capital One: CL: 1500 Bal: 215 AF: 40 Discover More: CL:2000 Bal: 0 AF: 0 Chase Freedom: CL:1000 Bal: 0 AF:0   Tell me what you guys think! Also my EQ score is now a 679, just haven’t updated it in my sig yet. This forum is the best. Don’t know what I would do without it!

New York & Company

New to this forum.  I have learned a lot and have made significant improvement in my credit. EQ FICO is 741 2/27/10 TU FICO is 696 1/31/10   I applied for a NY&C card yesterday and got a 7-10 day notice in the mail.  Anyone has had this message before?  Sounds like a denial.  Help

Luv buttons

I’m just curious, it may have already been asked but what is a luv button?  I see that term thrown around a lot on the forum.  This is no joke, when I first saw some postings about it, I logged on to some of my accounts and was searching for a button with a heart on it.  :smileytongue:   What exactly is it? A link to request for a CLI and only certain people get it?    Thanks! I have some new credit, waiting to see if I can get a CLI on them.  Didn’t know what I was suppose to be looking for when I logged on to my accounts.

Pay down debt to 29% or increase credit ?

Hi Fico Forums-               I’ve been working on my credit for 10 mnths. now and thanks to this Forum I’ve- increased my Fico scores( 610EQ to 696EQ AND 631TU to 725TU), and 596EX to 696EX- and I’ve increased my credit, from 0 to $40K:smileyvery-happy:. I apped for quite a few cards and was approved for-Premiere MC($350),Secured WFNB Visa($1K),HSBC Discover($300),NFCU Flagship Visa(10K),Nfcu GoRewards(1K),NFCU NAV Chek LOC(15K),Sears(1K),JCPenneys(1K),Macys($400),Amex Delta Skymiles(2K)-got some CLI’s,NFCU Visa(10K to 12.5K)-Sears(1K to 5.6K)-JCPenneys(1K to 2.8K)-and since I had to relocate for work(NYC to Miami), have used my store cards and NFCU a lot-am now up to 44% utilities and am now paying it down aggressively($2K/Month)-I have a little xtra coming in this month(3.5K) and was going to pay 5.5K towards my balance which would put me @ around 29% utilities OR was thinking of ADDING to my WFNB Secured Visa,bringing it to 4.5K,( in hoping that when my Secured card graduates I”ll have a higher CL), which would bring my utilities to only 37%- obviously I want to have a higher CL with my WFNB Visa. Any suggestions?:smileywink:
