- WHAT IS IN YOUR WALLET…?
What is your favorite credit card, and what is your least favorite. This might be a re-post of a thread, but regardless I thought it would be cool to see what People have to say. My favorite is my credit union visa, and my least favorite, my HSBC/BestBuy card!

Checking/Savings division & Credit Card division…..not one in the same at the Bg Banks
I've never been offered a credit card from my bank. My checking/savings account was with LaSalle Bank for many years, they then were aquired by ABN AMRO who was aquired by BOA. Never was offered a credit card by any of these institutions. Are all big banks operating this way? My BOA branch manager told me I was a "legacy" account, so maybe I wasn't entitled to the same perks. I've always had CC'cs but never with my main Bank. Am I wrong for expecting some offers? veracious

Completed application today with SDCU
I am applying for a new car loan and also applied for a credit card with SDCU (San Diego CU). Found out they use EX for everything and my score was a 699, which is a little less than I was hoping but I assume I lost some points due to my recent card additions. The CSR didnt seem concerend though and said my income, DTI, and score all look good enough. I did have to jump through a few hoops. Seems I was listed on Chex Systems for an account with Bof A that I closed but an item for 1.29 came through 48 hour after the closing date and they paid it, the account then incurred fees for almost a year. All overdraft fees, even though the account ahd been closed. Spoke to the Recovery Dept and had an AWESOME CSR who waived everything, faxed me letters stating they messed up, closed it all out and even sent a request to Chex Systems for immediate removal. I know B of A usually sucks, but he really went above and beyond. I almost considered opening a new account with them just becuase this rep was so amazing. Now, its just a waiting game to see if they approve me, and if so, what the rates are going to me. Cross your fingers for me!

Research paper help-Americans and credit card debt
Hi, I am writing a research paper on the above and need stories on how people got into credit card debt, how you got out, what you do now to use credit cards wisely and the importance of using them wisely. Also if you got out of credit card debt and got back in, how did it happen and what are you doing about it now. Thanks for any stories you want to share! This is my last paper for the semester and if I get an A I make the Dean's List!

The best way to get high limit credit cards
I currently have a handful of credit cards, most of them have low limits between 1500-3000. I have been trying to get a good card with a large CL but every bank when they provide an offer wont go any higher than my highest CL currently or they advise they can only start me at 3000 and then review the account within 6 months and grant a CL icrease at that time. They say they need a history to review. I am frustrated to say the least. My scores are all in the 700s so I dont see why I dont qualify for a large CL credit card. My util is low, dti is low. Oldest reporting account is 9 years, 10 months. AAoA is 3 years. No recent baddies, except my auto loan which is showing INCORRECTLY due to Lexus being a bunch of morons and that is nearly 10 months old. ANy idea what I should be doing? FICO says to simulate my best action is as follows for raising my score. I dont know why it says that considering my util is 6%!? Best Action - Pay Down 90%-100% of Your Credit Card Balances - Over the Next 24 Months

san diego county credit union
Im shopping for a new car purchase and was referred to this CU for an auto loan as they are supposedly one of the best in my area. When meeting with the loan officer to discuss my auto loan, she said on the same credit pull (from EX) they can also have me apply for a credit card as well. Is this usual? I did some research and this has been reported, but not very often. Some amazing things to note. They only have ONE percentage rate for auto loans, regardless of the term length. This is amazing. Doesnt matter if you finance for 36 months or 72, its the same rate. Lowest rate they offer is 3.9 fixed and they also offer a variable as well. Credit cards are pretty straight forward. Decent rates, 0% APR on balance transfers for one year. They also offer a secured card as well. So if people are in the San Diego area and looking for a good secured card, here you go.

What’s best for your credit score? 1 or many credit cards w/ balance?
Hi, I have a question... Let's say I have 3 CC's, and $3,000 in Debt. What would be the best scenario for me, credit score wise... SCENARIO 1: CC1: $1000 Debt, CL: $1500 CC2: $1000 Debt, CL: $1500 CC3: $1000 Debt, CL: $6500 Or SCENARIO 2: CC1: $0 Debt, CL: $1500 CC2: $0 Debt, CL: $1500 CC3: $3000 Debt, CL: $6500 I'm asking this because I just received a 0% APR Balance transfer offer, on Credit Card #3, and would like to know if it would make any difference on my credit (other than the money saved by 0%APR) Thanks.

Compass, PNC or 5/3 Bank
I'm looking to open another Credit Card that pulls TU. Which one of these 3 is better as far as initial CL? Also, who is more sensitive to new INQ (I might open 2 cards, want to make sure I apply in the right order). Thank you

What happens when an AU is removed?
Just some quick background info: my girlfriend's mother added her as an authorized user to one of her credit cards. It's an old credit card (around 10 years old maybe?) with great history. It instantly shot my girlfriend's credit score up to 760+ (she has very little of her own credit history - her only credit card is just over a year old). Now this is great right now, but we were wondering what happens if/when she is removed as an AU on the card. Does it still take the normal time frame of 7 years or so to be removed from her credit score? Or is it a shorter time frame since she is just an AU and not the actual cardholder? Thanks for the help
