Honestly, I hate the battery life for the palm pre. When I go to work, home, or school, my phone is constantly on the charger. Is it bad to charge and talk and/or browse on the phone? Message Edited by randomized on 08-12-2009 10:43 PM

I was pondering the other day about my 800w and the problematic phone it seems to be.  I was thinking it’s probably not fair to blame Palm entirely for all the hangs ups, the need to soft reset every other day, or other problems that you might read about on the internet, I’m sure Mr. Gates played a huge role as well, what with the solid OS windows mobile is..  So then I got to thinking what if Palm created some way that we might update as it were, our 800w’s to this new WebOS.  I’ve never used this new operating system and don’t know much about it except the hype and that it doesn’t do voice command, (something I hope palm is working on vigorously…) but perhaps Palm could toss it around in some thinktank and decide for themselves.  Any thoughts on this?   Post relates to: Treo 800w (Sprint)

Shortly after installing a new batteries in my Tungsten E, the case split open and the batteries looked like a little gas filled pillow for a Barbie doll. It was never over charged, and at the time only had a partial charge. I had it in a brif case in my truck  inside temperature may have reached 125-135F. But this has never been a problem with other electronic devices. At first one corner of case broke loose slightly, I thought it was just damaged. Then a few day latter the back was popped open enough to place you finger inside. When opened I found the batteries was puffy and fat. Is this just a defective batteries or Did I exceed the temperature limits. Does any know the operational temperature range of the Palm or the  batteries? Post relates to: Tungsten E
