Recently my gf and I have been looking to start renting a place and came across a place that her parents suggested right by them. They said they rent from the same guy. He does not make any contracts or does any kind of credit check. And they said that would be the best way to build our credit, by renting from him. But it makes me suspicious because Without a contract I don’t see any way for us to build our credit score since there is no legalizing binding contract. Not to mention to many things could go wrong. What do others think.
