I’ve been in my home for about a year, and with the fed cutting interest rates I’ve been thinking about trying to consolidate my two loans into one low interest mortgage. I’ve got 25% through Chase at 8.75% and the remaining 75% through Wells Fargo at 6.25%. I’m thinking about refinancing, but am wondering if I’d have to pay closing costs again. Does anybody know about the process involved? Thanks.

I bought a home last year and I got my HUD1 statement where I can see my mortgage interest charges, my “per diem” interest charges and my closing costs. How can I deduct those closing costs and other fees (i.e. prep fees? Realtor fees?) in my 2006 taxes? deduct closing costs

We are purchasing an apartment building in Cincinnatti Ohio and are unfamiliar with closing costs as we are from NY. Does it work the same (typically 5% of purchase price)? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I want to put in an offer and ask for closing cost, but I dont know if the seller or lender is paying for them. I think its better if the bank/lender because they have money and the sellers dont since its a short sale.
