i was on holiday in egypt earlier this month. but due to the bad snow in the uk my flight home was cancelled and easy jet couldn’t fly us home for 3 days. they also expect you to arrange the transfer for your flight yourself. at £4 a min at the hotel for phonecalls i decided to use my mobile. with all the arrangements my bill is nw £170. i’m making a claim with my holiday insurance, but can i claim my expenses from easyjet too?

How many exemptions should I claim on my W-4? I am buying my first home and think that I need to change mine..

We may be on a sinkhole, and are in the middle of our claim process with the insurance company. I’ve seen a lot of info on various lawyer websites, etc, saying they can get you the maximum amount (but they take 1/3 of the settlement). What do they do that I couldn’t do myself? Do they somehow force the insurance company to consider underpins or chemical grouting vs. standard grouting?

House insurance claim question ?

I have a small one bedroom rental property that a tree fell on recently. My question is what does depreciation value mean? It was a old frame house. There is major roof damage, all of the ceiling tiles fell off from every ceiling which gave way to water damage on the floors, the house shifted and I could not not get into any room in the house we had to kick doors open I cant open the closet doors to even get my renters stuff out.The adjuster said he would give me an itemised statement and if he hit my insurance limit he would have to stop. The house is unlivable even the siding is going to have to be replaced. I just fear that b/c of depreciation I wont get the money needed to fix it. Say if I do get the full amount insured which is only $ 45,000 do I have to fix it? Do I have to provide my renter with another place to stay and do I owe her anything for her contents in the house?

Never since buying my 1st property (in 1999) have I ever claimed off the insurance.

However my house built 1950-60 has concrete finlok gutters, known to eventually fail.
My front 1 did, and I have paid £250 to get it lined with aluminium.
My Q is, do you think I can claim off the building insurance.
Nothing inside was ruined, but there is a crack or 2 in my sons built in cupboard in his room (the corner where the leak was) and it was very damp in there, so obv it effected the house.

So not only was it £250 for the lining, I will get the crack sorted, and also there is a roof tile in this corner that needs relaceing.

can I claim?

leak in the bedroom ceiling which has made a right mess of the carpet? and the leak of the boiler the kitchen will need redecorating and to be dried out….
we have both contence / building insurance….

My apartment burned down (I live in Michigan), and my boyfriend and father of my child, put my name down on his renters insurance coverage for $ 10,000. He is starting to get a little shady when it comes down to the money now, by squirreling it away on Money Marketing accounts and not telling me about it. We are waiting for the big remaining chunk to come in. Even though the initial insurance was in his name and he added me on, am I still legally entitled to half of the claim in the end? Can I take him to court if he doesn’t give it to me? I just need my half to be able to provide a good life for my child, if needed be.

I’ve seen this one paid both ways:

The insured is driving down the street. A car coming in the opposite direction hits a large rock in the road and the rock slides across the surface of the road. The insured runs over the moving rock and it damages the oil pan of the vehicle.

Is it a collision claim or a comprehensive claim?
