I don’t know how best to answer the summons. I have saved almost enough money to probably settle with the credit card company. I will get paid and have the last of the money in hand two weeks after I have to answer the summons in writing. Should I put this information in the answer or just answer it generically and hope they settle when my debt management company contacts them. My debt management company won’t contact them til I have the rest of the money in the settlement account.
I have content insurance with State Farm insurance because I rent a house. My pipes are frozen and people are telling me there might be a flood when it thaws out. So I wonder… does insurance not cover floods? Or does that mean floods from natural disasters? I just read that my renters insurance causes [...]
My credit score is around 500. I’m 21 years old and I have made some pretty poor decisions regarding my financial obligations. (PLEASE, do not post any negative information or comments telling me to get back on track and how important good credit is. I KNOW THIS and since March of this year, I have [...]
I got a letter today from my city’s court system saying that I owe about 2,600 to a credit card, which is essentially true (read “what happened”, if interested). I’ve been crying all day and was wondering what to expect, what I should say or do. I’m 22, married, rent an apartment and drive a [...]
What to say to the insurance company? Will companies even insure it? We’d be getting a loan for $ 40,000 is that all the insurance that would be needed on the house? Oh, I have so many questions… See we want to buy an abandoned house & fix it up but I know the mortgage [...]
I have “poor” credit and am looking to build it back, pay off a few accounts and start fresh again, but no one will take a chance on a person such as myself. What should I do?
I’m a Liberal Democrat, and this is the first time I’ve ever been so upset with my own party. I heard a soundbite from exactly five years ago, in which (Housing Committee Chairman) Baw-ney Fwank was saying that he considered Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to be (in Frank’s own words) “solvent”, and not in [...]
Objections to Arizona’s new illegal immigration law have become unhinged, reckless and deceitful, far beyond even the fight-club mayhem that characterized the battle over ObamaCare. U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill., invoked the Holocaust: “The words ‘show me your papers’ we’ve known from movies of World War II coming out of the mouth of a Nazi.” [...]
