I signed up for Care one debt consolidation and I failed to make a payment because I am overdrawn on my checking account. I feel that this company shouldn’t have called me at all about the drp program because I have no assets.So, how can I get rid of debt and does anyone here know another debt mangement program company they use?

People seem to be making a huge fuss these days about reducing debt. I think it is overblown. Am I right in saying that debt is something to be critically concerned about when you have little or no assets to “back” you but another thing entirely when your assets (home quiity, 401k accounts, stocks/bonds, etc.) [...]

Should a person that has absolutely no debt, and has no living heirs dies, does the state in which the person resides assume control of their assets? If so, what is the time period in which the state, (specifically North Carolina) must hold the property prior to disposal.
