Do certain credit cards help with improving credit score more than others, or is it all the same?
I have an Amex charge card, and I have to pay it in full when I use it, so I was just curious if this card would help any more so than any other card to improve my credit score, or is it basically all the same?
Also how many years do you have to have accounts open with credit cards, for them to be considered good enough for history, and not “new”? A few years? One/two years? Several years? 5+ years?
I went bankrupt in 1/2005, and it’s now 5/2008, and I”m wondering how many more years it will be until I start seeing my credit score bounce back, and my history being better and not being as negatively affected as it once was.
I already got approved of MANY cards back in 4/2007, and it’s only been a year, so I’m sure all of this still counts as new credit.
For up to 10 years, I’m going to have to see a “we have a bankrupcy on record?” right?
after that I’m fine?
Thanks!
