FINALLY! My journey is becoming complete….NFCU ???

We are searching for a new home and it will be paid in CASH.  One auto loan will be pif'd by Sept. 2010.  How will this affect our ability to maintain our credit limits with NFCU?  Should we ask that the limits be increased once our current home loan shows ZERO BALANCE? We do have a couple of small limit cards, which he uses for business only (and is mandatory) Because he's in sales, he needs to keep a close track on gas AND expenses, so Cap One & Shell fits the bill. Maybe he should think about getting another NFCU card and close cap one?  He could also close shell and use the NFCU.....or should we keep everything open as they're no fee?

What happens to my FICO if I let Citibank

I really need help.  I have about $75,000 in credit card debt.  I always pay on time and my Fico is 712.  However, I am fully maxed out and need a way to pay down principal because I spoke with Citibank ($40,000 is on this card) and they said that they would lower the interest rate to ZERO for 12 months and let me pay 1% , $400 a month, but this would close the card.  So, this is not a settlement but rather the bank closing the card with a payment plan.   A. How would this affect my FICO score? B. I am considering doing this on all 4 cards that I owe on.  Thoughts? C.  Would AMEX close my charge card because of these changes to my credit report, even though I regularly pay off this card each month (I need this card).   Please help.

Working out a payment plan

I have a credit card which has a balance of 15,000 and an interest rate of 25.5%.  I would like to have them close the account; stop the 25.5% interest accrual and then make monthly payments of $100 a month until it's paid off.  I'm wondering if they would accept this type of arrangement, and how would this affect my FICO score.  In addition I'm wondering what's the best way to contact them by phone or letter? Closed Barclay and USAA

So I opened an Ameriprise World Elite MC. As expected it showed up as a closed Barclay account the secon day. Soon The normal account showed up on my CR but the closed Barclay stayed. Question: How does this affect my AAoA (the date opened says 01/0001)? How long does it take ti it disappears? Can I dispute it? Another close account that worries me is USAA. I opened 18.3k Amex with them and also applied for their MC. Got approved for another 18.3k initially but then they closed it saying something like "we cannot give you 36.6k at this time". Oh well, but now I have another new closed account. Should I call them and ask for it to be removed or should I dispute with bureaus?

Mortgage Finance Experts: How will the market affect homeowners who will be refinancing next year?

My parents bought the house 4 years ago, at a rate of 4%, which is due to change next year, when assessing their loan. With the crisis in the market and the granting of new loans is linked to severe as a result of these occur, they are what refinance has in Serbia for their concern. The good news is that they have perfect credit (which successfully removed their SMEs, and that is making their payments every month — and pay an additional few hundred dollars than it should. Not to mention the debt A credit card is very low (only a few thousand dollars). They both have their great paying jobs for more than a decade but are still worried if they are to a degree, a decent fixed rate if their lending is secured by obligatory. All hope?
