Are you talking about paying bills you make with the card of paying for the card itself? Don’t pay minimums and as a good rule, don’t buy something with your credit card unless you have the money to pay it off quickly.

Credit cards only update to the credit bureaus once a month. It does nothing extra for your credit to pay the card weekly. In fact, it may do the opposite. If you pay immediately, the card may not report any utilization to the credit bureau. You have to show utilization to build your credit.

Besides, the credit card does not want you to make multiple payments every month. Some will freeze your online access after a certain number of payments.

Make things simple. Just use the card and pay the statement balance in full every month. That will build your credit, avoid interest, and avoid overpayment.

You need to pay every month, but ON TIME.

The key to using a credit card and building your score is this: NEVER use more then 50% of your credit line each month and ALWAYS pay it off in FULL and ON TIME.

For example. if you have a total credit line of 1000, then NEVER use more then $ 500 MAX each month.
