My credit score is fair but I don’t want to wait until it becomes poor to try and improve it. Beside paying on my credit card balance, are there any tips on how I can improve it before I am fully finished with my college career?

Pay all your bills on time. The longer your good payment history, the better your score.

Best way to use your credit cards is to only charge what you can afford to pay in full each month. That way you build your good payment history, avoid interest, and stay out of debt.

try having a credit card using it for your day to day purchases but make sure that you have the money to pay it off at the end of the month do this for one year and it should improve drastically.

pay more than the min every month the faster it will be paid off.not saying pay more than you can handle lets say a credit bill is $ 90 pay 115 or 100 pay what you can if you can pay well over then do so. good thing to get it controlled young smart move 🙂 good luck

Well that’s a good questions. When I was in college I applied for few credit cards and used those through out my college career. I kept my balances low all the time. You’d be surprised at the credit limit that you get qualified for. The first card I got out of high school I got a limit of $ 2000 and was able to raise my limit about $ 500 a month. The more available credit you have the better. Another easy and very very quick way to raise your credit is to ask maybe a family member to add you on to one of there credit card accounts. This is assuming they have a good and long credit history. But I always suggest applying for your own credit cards also. Try my site at creditcardblessings101.com

You could find most cards here. I would suggest American express blue sky miles card.
