Tethering / Alternatives to the Droid
I kind of wanted a Motorola Droid but tethering is not yet supported for that. So I guess I need to look at alternatives such as the Blackberry or HTC Touch Pro. Any suggestions? I want the new phone to tether and replace the air card I now use for telecommuting. My 2-year renewal comes up on 5/17/2010 so I was considering upgrading my Palm Centro ( in 700 minute family voice only plan now) to a Moto Droid. But it would have to replace the USB 727 air card I now pay $60/month for -- that is used heavily for telecommuting and averages 4GB per month. I was willing to get 2 data plans on the Droid as long as it didn't exceed the $60/month I now pay on the air card. I emailed VZW and here is the response: "our Droid devices do not support the Mobile Broadband Connect feature at this time. I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. However, our other Blackberry/Smartphone devices do support this feature. The Mobile Broadband Connect feature provides Internet access utilizing your handset as a modem by tethering it to your laptop via a USB cable and VZAccess Manager Software, which is available for download at the following website: VZAccess Manager Mobile Broadband Connect offers 5GB of data usage for Internet browsing, e-mail and intranet access, downloading, uploading or streaming of audio/video and VoIP. If you exceed the 5GB allowance, you will be billed 5 cents per each additional megabyte (MB) used. Airtime does not apply when using Mobile Broadband Connect.

Help Omnia II Memory Message
OK I have an Omnia II. I've only had it for about 3 weeks. I've been playing with it a lot and took some pictures and video at an event yesterday. I've been trying to move the pictures into another file and some other stuff but Now I get an error message that says my memory is low. Here's what it says when I go to Memory/Main Storage Main Storage-186.84 MB In Use-182.22 Free-4.62 No programs in storage memory. So is it because I have too many pictures and video? Should I delete them. Not sure what to do.

Omnia II -Where are videos stored?
I downloaded 2 video tutorials from Samsung and now I want to delete them. When I go to view the videos there is no place on the menu to delete. When I select the video it just plays. Anyone know where they are stored on the phone? Thanks so much!

HELP – Moving pics/videos from Samsung Hue to Samsung Rogue
I just upgraded from a Samsung Hue to a Samsung Rogue. I want to move my pics/videos on the Hue to the Rogue. I purchased a 4GB microSD card because I thought I could simply save my data in the Hue to this and then move it to the Rogue. Well, when I try to save photos on the Hue to the card, I keep getting a "file exceeds memory" message. This can't be possible because the SD card is brand new and has never been used. What is causing this? And if I can't move my data via the SD card, how can I get it from the Hue to the Rogue? I really don't want to lose my pics and vids!

Samsung Omnia 2- Youtube Quality Improvement?
Sorry if this was discussed in another topic, but I was wondering how you can improve the quality of youtube on this phone. Just the default player is horrible for both sound and video quality? Do I need to install a different player or cab? Thanks again.

Samsung Omnia 2-viewing videos with media players
I'm trying to watch videos that are on a mirco sd card that were taken with my digital camera. There are 2 media players on the Omnia 2. When try to view the videos using the (Samsung (?) ) media player, a notification states, "The player does not support video format." When I play the videos using Windows Media Player, I can hear the audio but I am not able to see the video. On my home computer, I can view the videos using Windows Media Player without any problems. Do I need to download additional software to convert the files? Thanks!

HTC Pro2 text pics & video help
Just got the HTC Pro2 ..great phone,,however my text pics and videos play back on a 3/4" square. Can't seem to figure out what the problem. I haven't read on anyone else having the same problem...then again I'm well aware of the "MURPHYS LAW" concept.....any and all info will be greatly appreciated

Omnia 2 syncing with my computer picture folders
this is driving me crazy. How can I stop, via Active Sync, the Omia 2 from syncing all my computer photos to my storage card on my phone. Suddenly when I go to download new photos via active sync I'll have 1,000's of 'new' photos on my storage card ready to be downloaded to my computer. It is a visious circle. I've thought I'd figured it out, but I guess not. I am constantly deleting them, only to click out and then click back into the photo folder in my card and there are more! Different ones. It seems to be syncing and adding them as I'm deleting. I've tried changing the folder name too, but another one will be added. It makes it difficult to download the newest. It is like out of the twighlight zone! I have Vista Dell PC, and use the Microsoft Active sync. Thanks in advance. --------- This is what I thought it was, but alas, it is still adding pictures: O.k. how to really fix this... really freaky when all the pictures , thousands, would end up on my phone. Again and again, after I'd delete on my phone and on the My phone site. I'd gone into the Windows Mobile Center on my computer , and made sure the folders box was unchecked, yet they'd appear again and again. It turns out, when I explored at the my phone website, that you have to go into My Phone on your phone, open that, go to sync options and there are tons of options, them all clicked by default! pictures , documents, favorites, videos! Man, that can certainly quickly fill up your storage card! Just something to be aware of so you too don't have "twilight zone" moments.

Help With Droid Eris SD Card Sound
I recently upgraded to the droid eris. I had a Lg Voyager with a 1gb SD card. It has all my pictures and video's of my kids. I took it out and put it into the eris and it works fine.. However.. I am not able to hear any sound when I play the videos. I clicked on the screen and turned up the "media sound" to the highest setting but still am unable to hear anything. Can Anyone Help?? Thanks!!
