Question about memory and smart phones
I would appreciate any help. I am a physician and I basically use by smartphone for work. I have multiple medical applications on the phone. I have used a palm for a long time. I brought a Blackberry Storm. I am now ready for a new phone. The Blackberry storm did not work well for me because it lacked enough memory. Most of my applications use main memory and not the sd card. For my next smartphone I need a lot of main memory. I think the storm has 256. When I reviewed the other phones I like the droid, but the memory issue is confusing to me. They discuss ROM memory RAM memory and flash memory. I already know that the sd card is not very useful for me, but I am unsure which droid has the most "main memory" for my applications. I also like going onto the internet and getting Emails and Text messages on my phone. Which phone is best for me between the palm or droid lines. Thank you

Data plan for smartphones should not be required for netbook users
I love Verizon. They have been good to me. I would love to have a smartphone, but an extra 30 bucks is ridiculous when I already pay 59.99 plus fees for 5 g's of internet access on my netbook ( purchased through Verizon ). I do not like the touch screen phones. Most of the 3G and multimedia phones are touch screen. The smartphones look so inviting and easy to use. Yet they scream " I will cost you another 29.99 with fees Alice, for a service you already pay for!". Verizon.I'm begging..Please give an exception to those with multiple plans to purchase smartphones with only a 9.99 data plan.

There was a problem initializing GPS. Please exit and restart VZ Navigator."
The minute I installed version 5, my omnia 1's gps stopped working. It presents the message "There was a problem initializing GPS. Please exit and restart VZ Navigator." I have: 1. reinstalled v.5.1.0.61 multiple times 2. turned off wifi 3. set phone options to "location On" 4. done a hard reset of the phone any other ideas?

Looking for Imagio ROM
I installed the MR1 update that is listed on the support site for the Imagio. Since installing this, my phone is running very warm and the battery only lasts a couple of hours at best. It appears as though there is a service running, or notifications are causing something to remain on resulting in the phone overheating and running down the battery. Also, the update causes the phone to beep multiple times when the Bluetooth headset is connected or disconnected. It's annoying as heck. Do we have access to the original ROM that shipped with the phone for reinstall? Gerry

Samsung i760 and modaco nodata app
Ok I've searched everywhere for an answer to this question and can't seem to find one anywhere. I'm looking to get a Samsung i760 so that I can use the wifi without purchasing a data plan. There is a freeware app for WM6.1 called modaco nodata. I'm wondering if anyone with an i760 has this app installed and, if so, are you able to block 3G while still having access to MMS? I read that different phones handle data differently and will have multiple data streams set up to handle different kinds of data transfers (i.e. one connection for internet, one for MMS, one for media) and others use one data connection for all data. I'm hoping to find that the i760 handles multiple streams so that I can turn off all data except for MMS.

Which Smartphone?
Hey y'all! I have been doing some research on which smartphone to get and am having a little trouble deciding. So I thought I'd ask the experts. lol What I want out of my phone is a few things... 1) check email from gmail accounts 2) check my facebook account 3) be able to work on documents on the go if need me 4) be able to sync with a microsoft computer, preferably through USB 5) music player 6) removable memory card 7) full keyboard, I'm not a fan of touch screens but wouldn't mind if a phone had both 8) post updates to blogs using either wordpress or blogger 9) 5 mega pixle camera or close to it 10) text & call (duh) 11) maybe a blog reader 12) Ability to get a protective case (I have the tendancy to drop phones a little too often, lol) Here's a little about my lifestyle. 1) I have a full time job in the office, that sometimes takes me to events & multiple showrooms 2) I also work on the side as a web marketing consultant & need regular wireless access when I'm on the go 3) I also like to travel when I get the chance (from quality hotel to tent, though a rugged phone isn't a necessity) 4) I once had a Treo, but for some reason the texts wouldn't always come through & I would have to reset; currently using an enV1

TP2 and GSM/Global
Any advice for someone considering the TP2 for 95% domestic and 5% international use? Appears that it's simple to unlock from V and then use a 3rd-party SIM cary. Is this just for voice internationally or are there SIM cards that will enable data internationally? I'm interested in any advice from those that have used this internationally and what your tips are? Do you make extensive use of wifi spots when abroad and avoid data costs? What about security onthe various wifi spots? Thanks

Group Text on Imagio
I am in the process of upgrading to HTC Imagio from Treo 7**p. I have owned the Treo for quite a while, and I downloaded a free software that allows me to send group texts out to as many recipients as I would like, (within lists that I have created, multiple lists, etc). This feature is VERY important to me. Does the imagio allow the creation of text groups that I can send a mass text to contacts within a group?
