Barclay Financing Visa Card ??
Hello all. I am trying to find people who either have or have applied for a Barclays card. I am particularly looking at the Barclay Financing Visa card that they have linked on the Apple store. If you have applied for the card I would appreciate if you could tell me which report they pulled if you know, your score when pulled, approved or denied, and your starting credit limit. I know there are other varying factors I just want to get an idea. I need a new laptop for school and I would love to get an apple. I cant pay it all today but definately could pay it off well before the 0% ran out. Thanks

Questions about BT
I have a few cards with small credit limits but high balances. The worst is my CapOne card. I've been a cardholder since August 04, and my current balance is $612. I've been making a real effort to pay this down/off because the APR is ridiculously high and there are no perks with the card. This the one card I really want to pay off, because I see no purpose in using it. My question is, would it be worth it to apply for a card just to transfer the balance from the CapOne? I really don't want to open another credit card. The last card I applied for and received was for Best Buy in Feb and I bought a computer with it. That's strictly a store card. The last major credit card I applied for was Chase Mastercard, I think it was a Chase Freedom card. I closed this card with a high balance however, which I know is still effecting my credit big time. I've made great strides in paying off that balance, but it's still really high. My other cards are a TD Bank rewards (formerly Commerce Bank rewards) card and a Chase Amazon card. The balance on both cards tends to remain pretty high, but I've been paying these down as well. The last time I checked my scores, two were in the high 600s and one was in the mid 500s, that was over a year ago. I usually do a yearly check on all three scores, it will be time to do that soon.

New Laws – Credit Card with No Credit
My girlfriend (who is over 21) has been trying to get a credit card. She has no credit at all (and nothing negative either) and was declined from a Citi Student Visa as well as a Visa through her bank (which she has a 5 year history). She has a good amount of income. I'm imagining it's these new laws that are making it so hard (I had no problem getting a Citi Student Visa with no credit or income). What is the next thing to try? I know she doesn't want to keep applying and getting denied because that looks bad on your report.

Capital One Statement ?
I just received my cap one card this 3 days ago, and while no statement is showing online, there is a due date of June 18th for paying my bill. Am I correct in my assumption that a statement was already cut? and a new cycle has begun? Not trying to be ignorant, but I dont recall ever receiving a CC and then have the billing cycle end so quickly. Thanks!

- WHAT IS IN YOUR WALLET…?
What is your favorite credit card, and what is your least favorite. This might be a re-post of a thread, but regardless I thought it would be cool to see what People have to say. My favorite is my credit union visa, and my least favorite, my HSBC/BestBuy card!

Paying off debt and credit card usage
I've recently put myself on a "financial diet" and I'm aggressively paying off the debt I have in order to (possibly) buy a condo next year. I use my credit cards a lot for every day use, but I'd like to switch to my debit card because I think that will help my overall mindset. Now my question is, will creditors decrease my credit lines because of my lack of usage? I'm primarily worried about Amex and Discover. I do also have Citi, which is a $13.5K limit, and have heard all of the stories of those who have had their accounts closed, but they raised my CL last year and are regularly sending me BT offers, so I don't think this is in the near future (but I'm not dillusional to think they'll stick it to me). Is there anything I can do to prevent them from closing or decreasing CL b/c of my own mission to do better financially?

Paid off all Deliquent/Collections, CC offer too soon?
Hi Everyone, I have another question, lol.... I recently paid off all collection accounts on my credit report late Feb/ early March. HSBC was 1 of the credit card collections I paid. I have 2 installment loans in great standing, but feel I need a CC to start boosting my score since it took a hit after paying all collections. I have been sending GW letters, but no luck. Anyway, my question is; today in the mail I received a pre-qualified offer from Orchard Bank/HSBC for a platinum MasterCard. I hate taking out a CC but I think it will help improve my score w/ responsible timely payments of course. Do you think it's too risky to apply to the pre-qualification or should I wait a couple of months? I'm afraid it will be declined and my score will take another hit. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!~
