HTC Touch Pro 2 with Windows Mobile 6.5 – Mail Automatic Send/Receive locks up the Today screen.

I upgraded my HTC TP2 to WM 6.5 (the official verizon one). Overall, everything seems to be good. There is one unusual problem (which never happened on WM 6.1). When I setup Automatic Send/Receive for my yahoo email account (whether I use IMAP4 or POP3) with any time interval setting, sometimes my Today screen locks up after the Auto S/R kicks in (while the screen is in sleep mode). When I turn the screen on I see that the Start menu label has changed to Messages, the Clock is frozen with the time when the Auto S/R kicked in, and there an X icon in the right top corner. The rest of the screen is the normal HTC Sense (except that the clock is frozen). As soon as I touch the screen, the clock refreshes, the Message label goes away (shows Start) and the X goes away, and everything is back to normal. I have reflash the ROM at least 4 or 5 times already, and this problem does not go away. As soon as I turn off the Auto S/R, the problem goes away.   Anybody else having this problem? Anybody has any clues? Any solutions? Thanks
