CREDIT CARDS–Back where I started with a BankAmericard

I had mentioned in a thread before that I had received a letter from Bank Of America about how they were re-introducing their “BANKAMERICARD” (which it was called before it was Visa).

They stated that since I have had the Credit card since 1974, they considered me a “legacy customer” and would like to convert my current card to the “BANKAMERICARD REWARDS VISA”. They also said they wished to double my current Credit limit.

This was back in August when they wrote me and I informed them that if they wished to do it when I was due to get a new card it would be fine.

FAST FORWARD TO NOW:

OK, so, my B of A card  expires the end of this month and I have just received my “replacement card”. Yes, It is now called “BANKAMERICARD CASH REWARDS VISA” Signature card. They did also double my credit limit.

Its a nice looking card but nothing special. I just found it kind of ironic that after all these years, I am back to having a “BANKAMERICARD”. When I got the card originally, it was my first bank Card and had a HUGE $300 Limit. (well, huge for 1974).

Guess if we live long enough, things go full circle in life.
